Revision tips wait you wait

AN eye-catching initiative aims to put Manchester teenagers on the road to exam success while they are waiting for the bus.

Posters featuring revision tips have been displayed on bus shelters throughout the city in an effort to help thousands of city pupils facing GCSEs this month.

Council bosses hope the prominent adverts will reinforce good revision techniques with pupils as they travel to and from school.

The posters, which contain tips including where and how to revise, will be displayed on 32 shelters near Manchester secondaries.

A spokesman for Manchester council said: "This campaign aims to help young people to think about the bigger journey they're embarking on in their lives."

Schools have launched separate initiatives to help children. Pupils at North Manchester High School for Girls have been given a pocked-sized booklet offering practical tips on study and useful revision websites.
