A HEAVILY tattooed motivational speaker has so impressed education bosses that they've paid him £50,000 for his services.
School chiefs in Bury have employed The Scary Guy - his legal name - as a new weapon in the battle against bullying.
The Scary Guy, who is a former tattoo artist, will tour 10 primary schools. He will recruit pupils from two secondary schools to help him in his work with youngsters.
The 6ft 4in American is a renowned motivational speaker who works with children to spread peace, love, understanding - and the need for hugs.
Workshops
As reported in the M.E.N., he first visited high schools in Bury in April.
He talks to pupils to "eliminate hate, anger, violence and death" and tackles stereotyping, name-calling and bullying through workshops and stage performances.
Children are taken on stage and hugged before being challenged not to say a negative word about anyone for a week.
Yesterday he popped into Our Lady's Sports College in Blackley.
Head Teresa Devlin said: "The whole thing was superb. The pupils were queuing up for hugs in the end."

There will always be the odd toxic person who is a compulsive serial bully (possibly with Psychopathic/Narcissistic tendencies), but the aim is a strong community whether school, work or your local neighbourhood. In a strong community, people stop bullies and marginalise them. We are role models for our children, and if we think being aggressive is the way to get on, so will our children. Love and Emotional Intelligence are more powerful than most people realise.
