Sarah is in top five

Sarah Gale
A HIGH-flying school girl has achieved the some of the best grades in the country in five GCSE subjects.

Sarah Gale notched up top A* grades in her 10 GCSEs but was surprised to receive letters from the exam board explaining she had achieved some of the best marks for Spanish, French, maths, statistics and chemistry.

The 15-year-old sat her exams a year early at The Kings School, Macclesfield, but doesn't spend all her time studying.

As well as playing the piano and oboe she is a keen sports fan, playing hockey for her school team and running cross country and long distance races with a local athletics club.

Sarah, from Wilmslow, said she was stunned to be one of the top five candidates in so many subjects.

Congratulations Sarah, at least when (if) you apply to Oxbridge they'll be able to distinguish you from all the other applicants with all A*s! And a year early too!

You should be extremely proud of yourself. Well done!
