Busy Lucy rounds up top marks on route to vet school

LOOKING forward to veterinary studies: Lucy Worthington achieved As in maths, chemistry and biology at Stockport Grammar School.

HEAD girl Lucy Worthington rounded off an eventful time at her school with a straight A success in her A levels.

While at Stockport Grammar School, Lucy – from Glossop – won the gold level Duke of Edinburgh Award which was presented to her by the Earl of Wessex, Prince Edward, at St James’s Palace in London.

She also won the school’s Albert Johnston travel award and spent 10 days working on a horse ranch in Idaho, North America.

"I feel lost for words, but I’m really pleased at getting my results," said Lucy, 18. "I’ve really enjoyed my time at Stockport Grammar School."

Lucy gained three A grades in mathematics, chemistry and biology and is now off to Bristol University to study veterinary medicine.
