A man has been threatened with a machete during a robbery at a golf club.
A member of staff had been moving his car into the yard at Davyhulme Park Golf Club when two men jumped down from the roof of the club and confronted him.
The victim was threatened with a machete and forced to inside the club house before they demanded cash.
A substantial amount of money was put inside a plastic bag and car keys to a silver X-type Jaguar car were taken. The two men got inside the car and drove off. The victim was not injured.
Both men are described as being white, in their late 20s or early 30s, wearing dark clothing and balaclavas. One carried a machete, the other held a knife and both spoke with local accents.
Detective Constable Chris Aunins, from Trafford CID, said: "Although the victim was not hurt, he has lost a lot of confidence and is struggling to go about his daily business.
"I am eager to speak to anyone who may have seen a silver Jaguar being driven around the area as this is a type of vehicle you do not see every day. I would urge anyone who may have seen anything suspicious to contact us."
