Flying start for club

SMALL business bosses rubbed shoulders with the region's top advisers at the inaugural Manchester Evening News Business Club event.

The networking event - sponsored by BDO Stoy Hayward - was attended by more than 70 people from a range of sectors, many of which were featured in the M.E.N. fastest growing companies survey.

BDO partner Rupert Merson entertained the delegates with a 30-minute presentation entitled - Fast Forward to Business Growth.

Mr Merson has been with BDO since 1985 and teaches MBA students on "managing the growing business".

The next business club event - tackling business risks, sponsored by Beachcroft Wansbroughs, where leading risk management expert Lord Hunt will be speaking will take place at Freemasons hall on October 23.
