MANCHESTER-based property consultants Dunlop Heywood Lorenz have launched a new agency team to deal with all aspects of retail & leisure space development and agency.

John Airey, formerly head of retail & leisure at Manchester & Leeds agent Weatheralls, leads the new team, and is joined by Paul Hubball formerly of Lambert Smith Hampton.

David Burland of the company's West End office will be responsible for national client contracts.

The appointments following a walk-out by DHL's retail and leisure team late last year. Richard Lucas led the defection of the three strong team to rivals GVA Grimley.

Peter Gallagher, Director Head of Agency said: 'We are currently making a whole raft of new appointments.

"It is all part of our strategy to become the property consultancy of choice for both clients and professional staff in the North West.

"We will do this by continuously bringing bright young talent to the business and as the market tightens, add to the resources available to our clients.'
