DAVID Lloyd Leisure Manchester has been named Health and Fitness Club of the Year at the annual FLAME (Fitness Leadership and Management Excellence) awards.

The club, in Trafford Park, came out on top at the awards, run by the Fitness Industry Association, in the category for clubs which accommodate over 4,000 members.

The FLAME awards recognise brands that demonstrate exceptional commitment to operational and customer service standards.

Each year, more than 5,000 health and fitness clubs and leisure centres are invited to compete.

Simon Durbin, general manager at David Lloyd Leisure in Manchester, commented: "This is a tremendous accolade for the club. This certainly makes our dedication and hard work worth it." Tweet
