Cheque out time at Boots

HEALTH and beauty retailer Boots is considering an end to cheque payments.

The high street chain is to trial a month-long cheque ban at 46 stores in Sussex and Surrey starting from September 26.

If the trial is successful, shoppers will be able to pay only by cash or card from November.

Cheques currently account for only two purchases in every 1,000.
