Podcast help
MANCHESTER marketing students are now able to access online study and revision tips with no reading involved, the help comes in the form of a Podcast. Recorded by the Chartered Institute of Marketing, the free podcast is aimed at Manchester students studying towards a CIM qualification, through either assessment or examination routes. It includes study and revision tips from Jon Twomey, chartered marketer and founder of The CIM Student Support Group, as well as help from recently qualified student, Caroline Gibbs. The podcast is available free of charge from the CIM North West Homepage at www.cim-nw.org.uk until Friday, June 2.
Hesford heads North
STUDIO North has appointed a senior design manager following é100,000 of new business wins.
Chris Hesford leaves Pro Media in Stockport to join the ten-strong team at Studio North and will head up the Stagecoach account as well as the property division at the é1m turnover company.
Chris has worked in design for eight years, specialising in business to business and travel advertising after a two year stint in TV providing screen graphics at Granada Studios. He said: "I'm delighted with this new challenge. Studio North is an entrepreneurial agency and the team here is producing some top notch ideas and creative."
Lever joins Weber
The Manchester office of Weber Shandwick has added to its corporate team with the appointment of Sarah Lever as account executive. Ms Lever, 25, will be working on a number of major blue chip companies including Shell Lubricants, where she will be responsible for driving press coverage on a global basis. She said: "I am very much looking forward to working at Weber Shandwick and thrilled to be working with a highly successful team in an international, award-winning agency."
Appointments at With
MANCHESTER-based creative agency, With, has made a number of senior appointments as part of their current repositioning of the company. Karen Perry, previously at Madhouse, is joining With as head of client services. Marie-France Van Heel takes on the role of account director. Tracy Mason has been appointed as head of film and video. Meanwhile, Anthony Diver joins as head of new media.

DESIGN and corporate identity specialists, Appleby Bowers, has boosted both its prospects and its wealth by developing a distinctive flagship marque for a major new investment company - beating three London agencies in the process. Prospect Wealth Management offers a wide range of investment strategies tailored to meet each client's individual needs. Manchester-based Appleby Bowers has also produced a detailed 20-page brochure and is developing a website for the London company, whose extensive client base includes the rich and famous as well as entrepreneurs and other investors.
