Sale of pet food firm

THE Manchester office of Eddisons has sold the stock, machinery and property of Dugdale Davies, a pet food manufacturer. Following the sale they disposed of the firm's 14,803 sq ft industrial property at Johnson Way, off Sett End Road West, in Blackburn, for around é600,000.

Cobbetts' new client

LAW firm Cobbetts LLP has been appointed to advise Liverpool-based developers Three60 on its é100m property investment programme over the next five years. Three60 is a newly formed subsidiary of the PLUS Housing Group and has been set up to create a high value commercial property and residential portfolio across the north west, through investment and development.

Accumulating land

ON behalf of Shell UK, Drivers Jonas has disposed of 27,641 sq ft at Isherwood Road, Carrington to Acuma Capital Ltd. The rent rises to é3.75 a sq ft in the second year.

Shopping charges

THE average shopping centre service charge in the north of England has increased by 17.8 per cent over the last year, compared to just 3.63 per cent in the south, according to Jones Lang LaSalle's latest Retail OSCAR report. This reverses a trend shown in previous years, and could indicate rising standards in northern shopping centres.

Piccadilly revamp

MAGHULL Developments, the Bank of New York and a number of independent retailers including Kro, Manna, BeachStop, Moon Bar, the B Lounge, the Cotton House, and Barburitto have joined the Piccadilly Partnership. Their aim is to help revitalise the area which is seeing major levels of investment in the next four years, changing the Piccadilly skyline for good.

Two for Tame park

TOTAL Refrigeration Limited has signed up for a 25,000 sq ft warehouse on a 10 year lease at the new East Tame Business Park, Talbot Road, Hyde, while McVeigh Installations moved into a 16,000 sq ft unit in February following a corporate expansion programme. The park, developed by Northern Trust Group, totals 286,247 sq ft. Letting agents are Whittle Jones and King Sturge.

Sale ready to roll

RREEF, advised by Savills, has sold the freehold interest in Park 66, Bury, Greater Manchester, to a private client of Goldenberg & Co for é12.8m, representing an equivalent yield of 5.71 per cent. The 51,148 sq ft scheme includes a 30-lane bowling alley with three standalone restaurants, trading as Frankie & Benny's, Chiquito Ltd and Pizza Hut. The rent is é762,981 a year.

Health trust's office

BURY Primary Care Trust has signed a six year lease on 127 sq m (1,365 sq ft) of office space on Manchester Road, Bury. Nolan Redshaw advised the landlords.
