The event was held to celebrate the completion of major refurbishment work at Stanley's Strand Casino, on Princess Street, which has been turned into a state of the art casino also given a new name - the Manchester Mint.
General manager, Martin Sears, played host to new and old members and enlisted the help of a Chinese dragon because it is a traditional symbol of good luck. The firm hopes it will ensure a successful future for the casino and its members.
The Manchester Mint includes a noodle bar, one of the first casinos in the UK to offer this style of food, and boasts a new-look gaming floor, updated bar area and the latest in electronic gaming technology.
The refurbishment is part of an on-going é100m programme to refurbish all Stanley casinos.
Mr Sears said: "The party was our way of unveiling the new-look casino and thanking everyone for their patience while work was underway. I'm sure the new look will prove to be a winner with our members."
