Joanne steps down

JOANNE Shaughnessy has quit as executive director of Stepquick, the AIM-listed company which includes Salford accountancy firm Champion. In a stock market statement, Stepquick said she had resigned, after discussions with the board, to pursue other business interests.

A FIVE-A-SIDE soccer tournament involving about 150 Manchester professionals raised '2,000 for Shelter. The competition, organised by solicitors Mace & Jones, was won by Stockport accountants Hurst & Co, who beat Davenham Trade Finance on penalties.
