George, from Alderley Edge, has been with Combined since 1971 and has worked his way through the ranks, including a stint running its Portugal headquarters.
George's appointment reflects the significant contribution he has made to the growth of the company. He is tasked with continuing to build the firm's presence in the north through expanding its customer base and sales team, which is based in its new northern HQ in Wilmslow.
The Water Lane site, where the group has operated for over 20 years, has recently been transformed into the divisional sales office for its north. The 15 staff at the office will oversee sales operations from Birmingham to Scotland.
In addition to George's appointment, three further senior managers have joined the Wilmslow office. Nick Tyers has been appointed as divisional business development manager, Neil McKay as divisional business services manager and Alison Oarton joins as divisional sales administrator. Tweet

It is good news wilmslow has been named as the norths h q. combined is an excellent company and the appointment of george munro is good news. i think a mention should be made of simon blundell as he leads by example and has always worked extremely hard over the years and deserves the success
