Adding to the set

NORTH west barristers' set Exchange Chambers has announced a rise in turnover from '13.1m to '14m and is expanding its offices in Manchester's Ralli Courts. The set has recruited Mark Ainsworth from Peel Court Chambers, Louise Whaites from Queens Chambers and Nick Walker from Nicholas Street Chambers, Chester. Exchange now has 82 barristers and 12 QCs.

LEILA Porter, of Beachcroft Wansbroughs Solicitors, Manchester, advised Stafford-based, OFEX-listed telecoms firm Keycom on the placing of '1.45m worth of shares.

New partners

SEAN Caldwell and Peter Winnard have been promoted to partner level at Eversheds Solicitors Manchester office, in the commercial and real estate departments respectively.

PETER Dawson has been promoted to client service director level in the transaction services team at the Manchester office of accountants and business advisers Grant Thornton. He has been at the firm for 12 years.
