eoSemi secures£1.5m funding

Technology firm eoSemi has secured a second £1.5m tranche of investment as it continues its work to develop silicon replacements for the quartz crystals currently used in consumer and industrial goods, from mobile phones to TV sets.

The company, based in Congleton, Cheshire and led by chief executive Ian Macbeth, has received backing from its existing investors – fund manager EV, the government-backed NESTA Investments and Belgium’s Capital-E.
