Personal injury law firm Clinch Solicitors is looking to expand into south Manchester.
The practice, which generated fee income of £500,000 in its last financial year, is based in Ashton-under-Lyne and its eyeing a second office in the Altrincham area. The firm, founded in 2009 by Andrew Clinch, has recruited solicitor Anna Gaffey, 30, and currently has seven staff.
Mr Clinch said: “This is an exciting time for us. In the short time we have been operating, we have built up a thriving business and strong relationships with our clients.”
*Accountants and business advisers Cowgill Holloway has expanded its corporate finance team in Manchester with the arrival of Mark Bringloe as a director. He has more than 10 years' experience in the field.
*Cookware giant Meyer Group has enlisted accountancy firm Hurst to provide audit and tax services and advise on acquisitions. The team at Stockport and Manchester-based Hurst will be led by business services partner Andrew Milnes.
*Christine Branton is to join the transport and logistics team at the Manchester office of law firm Kennedys as a partner. Christine, who specialises in defending personal injury claims for transport operators and is moving from Backhouse Jones Solicitors, will start at Kennedys on January 3.
*Manchester law firm Pannone has gained accreditation to the environmental management standard after implementing a series of green measures including reducing energy consumption, greater recycling and appointing 'green champions' in each department to oversee initiatives.
