Richard's honour

RICHARD Dyson, of Hale, a partner at Ernst & Young in Manchester, has been elected vice-president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

He was president of the Manchester Society of Chartered Accountants in the mid-1990s.

Retail role

MANCHESTER law firm Rowe Cohen has been re-appointed to act for the National Federation of Retail Newsagents, which represents more than 21,000 traders in the UK and Ireland.

New partner

DAVE Cheetham has been promoted to partner level at Manchester accountancy firm Ford Campbell. He has worked in the corporate finance department for five years since switching from the audit team.
