St Peter's restored

CONTRACTORS Linford has started work on the '1.3m restoration of the former St Peter's Church in Ancoats, Manchester.

The 12-month contract will see Linford restructure the distinctive Romanesque church, built in 1859, in the centre of what is now the Ancoats Conservation Area.

Denton deal

A NEW 36,000-sq ft distribution facility for a specialist division of Saint-Gobain will be the latest deal at Arrowcroft Northwest's Parkway scheme at Denton. The completed development will have an investment value of just under '3m. Sole agents Fuller Peiser are now marketing the remaining 2.3 acres.

Atkins let

CONSULTANCY services firm Atkins has decided to expand at Birchwood Park in Warrington, taking a 15-year lease with a six-year break on 48,242 sq ft in Chadwick House, the Park's major office building, to house their 400 strong workforce.

Pochin plan

POCHIN Developments, part of Cheshire-based Pochin Group, has unveiled an office development at Middlewich. n Verity Court is a 21,565-sq ft office scheme at Pochin's successful Midpoint 18 site.

Rhyl sale

ALTRINCHAM-based Matrix Property Investment, a subsidiary of Hollins Murray Group (HMG), has sold a retail site in the centre of Rhyl, North Wales, for '1.31m at a yield of six per cent.

Bizspace buy

PRIVATE property company Langtree has sold the Marlow Portfolio of managed workspace estates, totalling 244,000 sq ft, and with 78 tenants for '10.15m to Larry Lipman's AIM-listed Bizspace. The yield was 7.6 per cent.
