Souters has been appointed by Lancashire cheese producer Dewlay to promote the installation of a 126-metre wind turbine at its site near Garstang.
The wind turbine is expected to be fully operational by September and will make the family-run cheese business the first manufacturer in the UK to be powered by renewable energy.
The Manchester agency has been appointed by Dewlay for six months to manage the communications campaign around the installation.
Emma Beardsley, account director at Souters, said: “We are delighted to be on board with Dewlay. Green issues have never been higher on the media’s agenda. The press relations campaign will target broadcast, local and regional, trade and consumer press.”
Nick Kenyon, managing director of Dewlay said: “We were impressed with Souters’ food and drink credentials and the team’s quick grasp of the brief – very thorough and creative. We are looking forward to working with the agency.”
The account will be handled by Emma and Diane Inglis.
