A FAMILY-owned conservatory manufacturer is toasting a prestigious national award.

Crystal Windows and Conservatories was crowned manufacturer and installer of the year at the G 04 awards in London.

Crystal, which is based in Poynton and has sites in Wythenshawe and Lymm, fought off tough competition from major national companies including Anglian and Planet.

The award, presented by comedian Jack Dee recognises excellence in the delivery, manufacture and installation of conservatory products.

Paul Masterson, managing director of Crystal Windows, which turned over '5m last year, said: "Conservatories have really begun to capture the imagination of homeowners over the past few years as a cost effective way of creating additional living space and enhancing the overall look and feel of their homes."

Crystal Windows was formed in 1990 and now employs 28 full-time staff. Tweet
