Having lost both of his parents and his best friend to cancer, the managing director of Cheshire's Creative design agency is motoring to the charity's aid.
Andy, 44, is taking part in the prestigious John Cooper Challenge rally in a works-prepared Mini Cooper S. And all available space on the car will be donated to helping Cancer Research UK raise money to fund better treatments and cures for cancer.
He is now looking for backers, private or corporation sponsors, to pay '100 each to have their name or logo appear on the car - with funds going to Cancer Research UK.
Mr Sayle lost dad, Brian, 63, to lung cancer and his mum, Ethel, to cancer of the kidney. His best friend, Robert, died last year from lung cancer.
"Robert and I had known each other since we were kids and we bought Minis at the same time - even though we were too
young to drive them. It was after this that I decided I would
do something positive.
"I am racing for Cancer Research UK as a tribute to Robert and my parents and to support the charity's aim which is to cure cancer faster."
Anyone wanting to find out how to get more involved should contact www.racing4research.co.uk
Races will take place throughout the summer.
