AN innovative double glazing products manufacturer has created eight jobs through a funding boost as it looks to develop greener products.
Thermoseal is one of the country's biggest suppliers of components for the construction of double-glazed windows, with 38 per cent of the UK market.
It has negotiated funding from Barclays to invest in research and development and install equipment at its innovation centre in Wigan.
The new staff will aim to develop energy-saving components that will contribute to the government’s aim for all households to be carbon neutral by 2050.
Gwain Paterson, managing director of Thermoseal, which was founded in 1979, said: “Our aim is to look at
export markets and to grow our market share further.”
Barclays’ Richard Fray said: “Thermoseal has gone from strength to strength and this is down to their ability to spot opportunities and continually research and develop their product offering.”
