CHESHIRE flooring manufacturer Flowcrete Group has unveiled a recession-busting hike in annual pre-tax profits.
Flowcrete, which is based in Sandbach with and has 29 offices and factories worldwide, posted earnings of £5.1m for the year to May 31, up from £2.9m in the previous 12 months. Revenues grew 15pc to £50.8m.
Managing director Mark Greaves said Flowcrete’s growth was fuelled by expansion in the Middle East, South Africa and south east Asia. The company opened offices in Vietnam and India as demand increased.
Flowcrete’s flooring was installed at the Beijing Olympic Stadium, a new soccer stadium in Johannesburg, Dubai International Airport and, closer to home, Manchester Airport and London’s Westfield shopping complex.
