Bodycote boost as eurozone revives

SHARES in Cheshire-based engineering giant Bodycote surged today on news that France and Germany returned to economic growth in the second quarter, ending their recessions earlier than expected.

Bodycote, which has its headquarters in Macclesfield, does about two-thirds of its business in Europe.

Evolution
analyst Harry Philips said the shares had been on a good run and the European recovery dimension would help them further. The shares gained 6.37 per cent, or 9.8p, to 164p.
