The record revenues put the company - which won an M.E.N. Business of the Year award last November - on course for £10m turnover for the 12 months to next April, up from £6.3m.
Co-founder Giles Harridge said: "Outside of Christmas, this June was our busiest month ever. We shipped 46,000 items in the month," he said.
Mr Harridge established the business with John Smith in 2005 after the pair met at ante-natal classes.
News of their success came as figures released by industry body IMRG and consultants Capgemini showed that online sales in the UK rose 14 per cent year on year to £22.9bn in the first six months of 2009 but predicted a slowdown to 12 per cent in the second half.
