J2 Retail Systems, a Warrington-based firm which makes touchscreen tills and monitors for shops, hotels and the leisure sector, has set up a subsidiary operation in Australia.

Its team is based at offices in Sydney and will serve markets in Australia and New Zealand.

Managing director Moray Boyd said: "Australia has been a fast-moving market for us. We quickly established ourselves with a distributor, and we've enjoyed high demand for our products."
