THE alleged `rogue' oil trader who cost his company £6m and pushed oil prices to an eight-month high was under investigation today.

Exchange ICE Futures Europe is probing a flurry of trading on Tuesday morning.

Broker PVM Oil Associates was forced to unwind unauthorised trades - reported to have been made by senior broker Steve Perkins, that pushed Brent crude futures to its highest level this year.

London-based PVM said it was investigating but did not name any employee.
