ALLIANCE & Leicester’s Manchester corporate and commercial banking centre today became the first in the group to be rebranded as Santander.

The change to the bank’s 20 regional UK centres follows May’s announcement that Santander’s three UK businesses – Abbey, Alliance & Leicester and Bradford & Bingley Savings – would adopt the global brand.

The other 19 centres will be renamed by the end of this year.
