The new `charity incubator' called iNspire is the brainchild of Manchester lawyer Darryl Cooke, who works for Hill Dickinson.
The board of iNspire is seeking 30 small charities from across the region to register their interest in taking part in the initiative before the end of April. Mr Cooke said: "Small charities are typically led by passionate and enthusiastic individuals who may not always have the business skills to achieve the desired rate of growth.
"iNspire aims to connect these charities with entre- preneurs, senior business and industry leaders who are able to provide those necessary skills."
The board of iNspire is chaired by Mr Cooke and also includes Laura Wolfe of Out There Events, Lucy Meacock of ITN and Ann Jordan of the IoD.
