A NURSERY in Lymm is looking to double its turnover as a result of a six-figure deal which has allowed it to build new eco-friendly premises.

Rosebank Centre Nursery, in Pepper Street, will also be able to double the number of children it looks after from 50 to 100 after securing the loan from the Co-operative Bank's corporate banking division.

Owners Rod and Margaret King have leased 2,000 sq metres of land from Warrington council to build the new Scandinavian-style log cabin in the grounds of Ravenbank Primary School, which is also in Pepper Street.

The building, called the Rosebank Naturegarten, has a `low' energy rating after being fully insulated and lined.

The Naturegarten will be used for nursery sessions for three to four-year-olds, as well as the after-school club for three to 10-year-olds. The Rosebank Centre will provide daycare for children from three months to three years and will act as a `feeder' for the Naturegarten.

Rod King said he expects to increase staff from 30 to 40 over the next year. He said: "There is a strong demand for childcare and pre-school education in Lymm, and this new facility gives us the ability to further develop our services.

"The Rosebank Centre can now concentrate on daycare for babies and toddlers, while Rosebank Naturegarten will provide care and development for children from the age of three upwards.
