Its Vortex macerator disposes of bed pans and other single-use medical products by breaking them down into biodegradable fragments which then wash down the drain.
Vortex is designed to avoid infection risks of using plastic toilet and washing equipment.
Vernatech claims the equipment takes hygienic waste disposal into a new era and adds that Vortex has been trialled at seven hospitals in the UK, Europe and Australia over the past eight months where ward evaluation was very positive.
More than 80 per cent of ward staff reported it saved time, while 88pc believed it would reduce cross-infection.
