Racing driver and motoring enthusiast Sarah Hutchison decided to launch the women- only Prestige Track Club after she moved from Berkshire to Alderley Edge.
"I saw wealthy women driving around Alderley Edge in 4x4s, Aston Martins, Maseratis and Porsches, and thought there must be an opportunity to give them a chance to drive on the racetrack, for fun and to learn how to handle the vehicles," she said. "The Prestige Track Club is exclusively for women who own and drive powerful sports cars and 4x4s.
"These wealthy women have consultants who help them run their lives - accountants, lawyers, personal trainers.
"Why not receive specialist instruction in how to enjoy their cars as well?"
Sarah says: "It all started when I realised that husbands went off to race days at motor tracks, took their wives and girlfriends along and left them to stand about.
The Prestige Track Club launched in May and is expected to have a first-year turnover of around £120,000, growing to £350,000 by the third year.
Next track events are at Oulton Park, Cheshire, in October and November.
