Turnover surged from £9.7m to £11.7m at the 30-partner operation on Fountain Street during the year to May 31.
Nationally, Hill Dickinson reported fee income of £73.1m, up 6.9 per cent from £68.4m.
Profits per equity partner are expected to come in at £310,000.
Manchester was the firm's strongest performing UK office and its success followed a string of key appointments, including the arrival of private equity specialist Darryl Cooke to head the corporate team, Stephanie Klass as a consultant, Edward de la Billiere to head a new financial investigations unit, Howard Cornes as a property and construction partner and Bruce Jones as an intellectual property expert.
Managing partner Peter Jackson hailed a successful year but acknowledged the economic downturn `presented new challenges' for the next 12 months.
