UK Batteries supplies tens of thousands of motor batteries each year to users of cars, boats and bikes. The 50-strong Manchester team supplies the motor trade and private customers throughout the UK.
The company has grown fast after buying the assets of ABS Power Systems, a company that had fallen into receivership. The deal added depots in Rayleigh and Lowestoft. It also bought the business assets of Platinum Batteries, after it, too, fell into receivership.
Due to the growth it was necessary to move the Manchester warehouse.
An opportunity arose to move into the warehouse directly above the existing site. The move doubled the firm's stock holding capacity.
In addition to the automotive and commercial sectors, the company supplies batteries for motorcycles and leisure pursuits as well as sealed lead acid and gel batteries.
