CEREAL giant Kelloggs has donated a year's supply of cereal to help an up-and-coming young swimmer reach his full potential.

The company, which has its UK headquarters and a factory in Old Trafford, is also a sponsor of the FINA World Swimming Championships 2008 which will take place at the M.E.N. Arena from April 9-13. Kelloggs said it decided to help Swim Trafford's Performance Squad prospect Daniel Walsh, 10, after his mother won one of its competitions for swimmers.

Kelloggs has been an official sponsor of British Swimming for 10 years, during which time many children and adults have earned Kelloggs-ASA Swimming Awards.

It also sponsors elite young swimmers across Manchester, including Hannah Miley and Fran Halsall, who both aim to compete at the 2009 FINA World Championships.
