Retail warehouse specialist Petch Hall is run from Deansgate by Chris Petch and Andy Hall. Chris and Andy join global surveying business Cushman & Wakefieldas partners and will be based in the firm's Manchester office as part of the UK retail team led by John Strachan.
This move follows Cushman & Wakefield's acquisition in April of Birmingham-based retail specialist Alston Nock, run by Robert Alston and Stephen Nock. Chris and Andy will work closely with the Birmingham team to cover the midlands, north west and north England.
Last week, Cushman & Wakefield announced the appointment of a new retail agency team in Manchester. The team, led by Matthew Illingworth, includes Andrew Hynes as an associate and Sammy Jones as a negotiator. All three were formerly with Donaldson's prior to its acquisition by DTZ.
The shake-up in the city's property business comes after almost 10 years of growth and expansion. A market once largely dominated by locally-based property consultancies is now firmly part of an international property scene.
Last week, GVA Grimley announced a £40m investment from Lloyds TSB Development Capital as part of a restructuring that will prepare the firm into a limited company. Mark Rawstron, regional senior partner at GVA Grimley, said: "This will be the catalyst for our next phase of regional growth and we will continue to strive to be the leading advisers in the north west."
