In a surprising reversal of the offshoring trend, a team at gyro Manchester has developed and built the new website for a leading international health charity – in Bangladesh.
The International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh – ICDDR,B – had chosen gyro last year to redesign and relaunch its high-profile website.
ICDDR,B addresses critical health concerns ranging from improving neonatal survival to HIV/AIDS, and works with most western governments, scientific communities and large funding partners, such as the Clinton Trust and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
The new website development accompanied a period of change for ICDDR,B as it celebrated its 50-year anniversary last year and began an organisation-wide restructure to support its wider research capacity.
Gyro’s task was to improve design and functionality of the website that holds a library of over 14,000 research documents. The project has been delivered by a team based in the agency’s Manchester operations.
