Independent electrical wholesaler Moss Electrical has taken a unit at Trafford Park for its first branch in the north west.

Moss is leasing 19,371 sq ft at a rental of £95,500 a year. It is a standalone unit featuring warehouse and office space and a trade counter. Consultant GVA acted as letting agent for landlord Legacy Portfolio.

Ruth Leighton, an associate at GVA, said: “This is a highly significant deal for the north west as the company has chosen the region as an important new base for the business. Moss Electrical looked at a number of options but chose Trafford Park due to its high specification and its central location with immediate access to the M60 and the M62.

*Two companies have committed to longer leases and new premises at MEPC Birchwood Park, Warrington.

Alexander Mann Solutions and subsidiary Amiqus have relocated on site to take a nine-year lease on 3,500 sq ft premises at 101 Dalton Avenue.

*Robert Pinkus & Co has been instructed to market for sale a 87,627 sq ft warehousing unit that sits on a 3.52 acre site on Porritt Street, Bury. The unit sits alongside other occupiers in the area such as national trade counter operators Grahams and Jewsons.

*Knight Frank has secured a letting at Whitegate Business Park, Chadderton, Oldham, by electrical systems supplier Abca Systems. Abca has taken a 2,000 sq ft unit on a six-year lease. Following the deal, the business park is now full.

*Stationery supply company DG Office Supplies has taken a 7,500 sq ft showroom and office area at Wharfside, Trafford Park. The site was previously a showroom for Project Furniture Company. GVA acted as letting agent.
