Having done very little at all only a couple of months ago, she is now a little girl of many talents and her personality seems to grow by the day.
She is now able to sit up unassisted, bouncing back even when Big Brother pushes her a little too enthusiastically.
She claps her hands on request when we sing that timeless classic about daddy and a pocket full of plums. And she raises her arms up towards the sky when we say, in the way only gurgling parents can, `So... big'.
She loves playing with her toys and cries when she drops them on the floor.
She's pretty much eating the same as the rest of us, mushed up so that it doesn't trouble her gums too much.
And her first tooth has now become one of two.
Together with her gentle fuzz of slowly-growing hair - probably the thing which prompts most people to say that she looks like her dad - it makes her just like a cartoon baby from a Tom and Jerry cartoon.
It's hard to believe that we're fast approaching Katie's first year in the family and she already feels like she's been a part of us all forever.
