These huge gold sovereign rings have taken inspiration from a most unlikely source - the heads of world leaders - recreated in tiny detail.
Jeweller-to-the-stars Theo Fennell, who lists the likes of Victoria Beckham among his clients, has created the `heroes and villains' rings.
The eye-popping designs include former Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill, peace pioneer Mahatma Gandhi, former US president Abraham Lincoln, fascist dictator Benito Mussolini, Argentine revolutionary Che Guevara and Chinese political leader Chairman Mao.
The rings have just gone on display at the Theo Fennell counter at Manchester's Harvey Nichols department store and are already causing quite a stir.
But at £3,500 a go, only those with money to burn need try them for size.
A spokesman for Harvey Nichols said: "The rings really seem to be appealing to our showbiz clientele.
"A magician client who already has one of our skull rings wanted a yellow gold Gandhi."
