Steal her style

Poppy Rush, singer with The Sticks

Each week we're out on the style scene rubbing shoulders with you fabulous fashionistas. This week we caught up with The Sticks singer Poppy Rush, 20, from North Manchester, who you may also recognise as the daughter of Coronation Street star Debbie Rush. Dianne Bourne quizzed her on her sassy style.

Where did you get tonight's outfit?

Scarf: Zara, £24

Top: Zara, £20

Bangle: Chanel, £ present from mum.

Skirt: H&M, £8

Tights: Primark, £8

Boots: Primark, £20

Handbag: Chanel, present from mum

How would you describe your style?

Flung together! My wardrobe is that much of a mess I pull out whatever I can and wear it.

Who is your style icon and why?

I don't really have one. I'd say Alexa Chung if she wore more heels!

Name your favourite shops.

Topshop, Zara and I love the dresses in Harvey Nichols.

What has been your biggest fashion mistake?

A stripy leotard when I was on stage once. I didn't realise it at the time but it was more or less see-through when I saw the pictures afterwards.

What one item of clothing can't you live without?

Probably my tights, as I'm always wearing skirts and dresses. I don't own a single pair of jeans, believe it or not.

How much do you spend on clothes, on average, each month?

Too much.
