Bond DB5 goes under hammer

Pay attention Bond fans. RM Auctions has announced the arrival of one of the most significant cultural icons of the 20th century – the 1964 Aston Martin DB5 James Bond movie car – to its annual Automobiles of London event at the Battersea Evolution in London on October. It is for sale for the first time ever and should fetch in excess of £3.4m.

400,000 visitors gearing up for huge motor show

Head for the UK capital from June 7-13 if you want to catch a huge free motor show at the Canary Wharf site.
Some 400,000 visitors are expected at the 2010 London Motorexpo, with vehicles from makers such as BMW, Infiniti, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lexus, Mazda, Mini and Skoda.

Porsche is extending the warranty on its Approved Used cars to two years from June 1.
Many use the Approved Used programme to buy their first Porsche, and the new warranty initiative adds further allure to Porsche ownership.
Every Approved Used Porsche is subject to a 111-point check to receive the Porsche Approved seal.

Renault’s new Megane model

Renault's new Megane Coupe-Cabriolet range goes on sale in the UK on July 9, and the stylish, high-specification car will cost between £21,595 and £25,83. This latest Megane gets 17in alloys, Bluetooth, a panoramic glass folding roof and sat nav system. Renault’s greenest Clio supermini – the 76.3mpg 1.5-litre diesel eco2 version, is also available.

Your classic car could be a winner

The hunt is on throughout the UK to find the Classic Car of the Year. The competition, organised by Classic Car Weekly, Classic Cars and Practical Classics magazines - in association with Lancaster Insurance - offers a first prize valued at more than £3,500. There are six categories - Pre-war, 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, and classic car owners can enter at ccoty.co.uk, with June 23 as the closing date.
