THE M.E.N Arena will once again be lit up with lights, lasers and special effects when Classical Spectacular returns to Manchester on December 8.
New music for 2007 includes Bizet’s Carmen Fantasy, and Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake Finale, as well as favourites Nessun Dorma, Land of Hope and Glory, Rule Britannia and Jerusalem.
The performance will feature a stunning new light and laser display, and joining the show for the first time ever is violin sensation David Garrett.
Classical Spectacular will be performed by the Halle Orchestra and conducted by Robin Stapleton, featuring baritone Mark Holland and tenor Paul O’Neill and the Halifax Choral Society.
Joining this prestigious ensemble are the Muskets and Cannons of the Moscow Militia.The dramatic finale of the 1812 Overture with thundering muskets and cannons, accompanied by an explosive indoor fireworks and laser show, will make this year’s Classical Spectacular a truly memorable event.
