The Diary can reveal that top of the bill for the star-packed August Bank Holiday festival are indie hotshots The Gossip, fronted by the awesome Beth Ditto (pictured), and eighties chart-topper Belinda Carlisle.
Joining them on the main stage over the Big Weekend in Manchester's gay village are Coronation Street legend Beverley Callard, will be singing with her partner Jon McEwan's band J onny Mac and the Muppets, while former Big Brother winner, the stunning Kate Lawler, will be DJing, along with Radio One DJ Scott Mills.
There will be plenty of hunky fellas taking to the stage as well - with a bit of an exclusive for Pride-goers in the form of the stars of new Take That musical Never Forget, who will perform a medley of tracks from the boyband featured in the show that premieres in Manchester only the week before.
Also packing the entertainment schedule include Jonathan Ross's musical sidekicks Four Poofs And A Piano, soul divas Angie Brown and Rowetta, Pop Idol Gareth Gates and Nineties' star Betty Boo.
Andrew Stokes, chairman of Manchester Pride, said: "The acts that perform on the main stage during the Big Weekend have to cater for a wide variety of ages and tastes. And there's more to come.
"The team at Manchester Pride HQ are still working hard to get even more well-known faces and artists to appear on stage."
The Big Weekend runs from Friday, August 24 until Monday, August 27. Tickets are £15 and can be bought at manchesterpride.com or by calling 0870 166 0429.
