NIGHT and Day this week celebrates ten years on the local scene, in a special celebration of Manchester, music and the number 10.

Coming over like Sesame Street on Sunday is the ``Ten of Bands''.

Monday then sees ten acoustic acts at the regular ``Quiet Versions Of Loud Songs'' night, followed by ten comedians on Tuesday, and DJ action for the rest of the week _ ten labels on Wednesday, and ten record shops on Thursday.

It all culminates the following Sunday (December 2), with the second instalment of ``Ten of Bands''.

Various highlights include Bone-Box, I Am Kloot, Moco, Jane Weaver, the much-hyped Haven, Oceansize, Morning Star and an allstar, to-be-confirmed line-up. Pop open the corks.
