The week on planet pop

THE week's Geri news: Geri has pulled out of a festival in Australia after a radio interviewer in Melbourne outraged and offended her by making reference to Victoria Beckham.

''It's completely irrational and childish to be steaming over something so trivial for so long and then, this close to the event, pull out. It's a real slap in the face,'' raged organisers. ''Geri's cancelling isn't a war issue, it's a fruity-cake issue.''

The week's Britney news: The long-engaged popster (with a spanking new album out this week) has revealed she is one day going to get married. ''I love Justin and want to spend the rest of my life with him,'' she tweeted to a UK tabloid. ''I want to grow old with him. I couldn't ask for a kinder and lovelier boyfriend. We are going to get married. We were thinking about next year but it all depends on our schedules really.''

The week's Lopez news

She's just as potty when working for charity. Rider demands during her 90 minutes of work for the What's Going On? single included -according to The Smoking Gun website - ''A 45ft trailer with two entry doors equipped with CD player, TV, VCR, hair sink and make-up station.

"A white dressing room with white flowers, white tables, white tablecloths, white drapes, white candles and white couches. Fruit, including mango, green seedless grapes, pineapple, cantaloupe, papaya, honey dew melon, watermelon, chocolate chip cookies, apple pie (a la mode), brownies, vanilla ice cream. Evian water (room temperature), raspberry-lemon Snapple, Nantucket's fruit punch, Kern's apricot/mango/pear guava/peach. (No tomato, apple or grape juices). Balance bars (honey peanut), Diptyque candies. Steamer, ironing board, iron, wardrobe rack.'' We hear she didn't touch any of it.

Hear'Say news? Don't be ridiculous.
