Music fans keyed up for festival

MUSIC fans in Manchester can look forward to nine hours of free live music on Saturday.

As part of radio station Key 103's Keyfest festival of music, comedy, film and fashion there will be live music at the Castlefield arena in the afternoon and evening.

The afternoon concert, which runs from 2pm until 4pm, will be headlined by pop act the Allstars and also features Tymes 4, Tracie Kane, Wendy De'Jai and Karma.

And there is also a whisper that a ''major pop act'' may make a surprise appearance.

The evening gig is headlined by Scousers Space and Dodgy but will also be a showcase for some of the best Manchester music with I Am Kloot, Goldblade and the Clint Boon Experience all appearing.

The festival aims to raise cash for new charity Manchester Kids, which will provide help for youngsters under the age of 18 suffering abuse, neglect, distress or living in poverty.
