AN exclusive collaboration between Badly Drawn Boy and Andy Rourke has been planned for Saturday afternoon as a thank you for everyone taking part in a world-record busking attempt in the city.

The two stars will perform at 4pm in a "top secret" location after an expected 150 musicians come together in what is hoped to be the largest-ever busking event.

The world record bid is raising awareness for the Versus Cancer charity gig 2007, which takes place on March 30 at the M.E.N. Arena, and for which tickets go on sale today.

Meanwhile, I'm told the one-off "gig" between Badly Drawn Boy's Damon Gough and Smiths legend Andy will be strictly a treat for those taking part in the busking attempt, which takes place from 2pm to 3.30pm in the city centre. Tweet
