Since being plucked as a busker from the streets of Manchester she's attracted the attention of major record labels, and tonight will perform a live showcase in front of the boss of global music giants Universal Records.
The record label's Classical and Jazz MD Dickon Stainer is jetting in from London to see Kristyna at the performance at The Palace Hotel in Manchester. Kristyna, who won the BBC's Busker of the Year concert and recently recorded a duet with Chris De Burgh, will sing in the hotel's Tempus Bar with Salford tenor Jon Christos accompanying on the piano.
Her manager, Perry Hughes, says it's a coup just to get the music boss out of London.
"It's not every day Mr Stainer comes out of London for a showcase," says Perry.
Andrea Bocelli
"He has been responsible for the record producing of people such as Andrea Bocelli, Jamie Cullum, Howard Jones to name but a few. Normally you have to go down to London to get the heads of the record labels, but we know how good Kristyna is, so asked them to come to us.
"She's going to be as big as Norah Jones."
Also performing at the showcase will be young soprano Hannah Clarke and upcoming band Under The Bodie Tree.
And fans of new music will be pleased to hear that the showcase, from 6pm, is open to the public - and entry is free.
